Ole Miss Student Dance (OMSD) is the only completely student-run Modern dance company at Ole Miss. OMSD was established in 2010 at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS in order to give students artistic opportunities as choreographers, dancers, production managers, and visual designers. OMSD encourages students at all levels to join and participate in auditions and classes. There is no fee and no specific skill-set required to join. 

Performances
Every year we have an annual concert and auditions that precede it at the beginning of the corresponding semester. This year our concert will be November 30-December 3, 2017. OMSD is based in Modern technique, but we do everything from Hip Hop to Modern and we accept those from all dance backgrounds and levels. Our goal is to foster a creative environment for members to study, teach, and improve techniques in all aspects of dance. Visit our auditions page for more information on how to get involved. 

Classes 
We host free weekly classes for any Ole Miss student or faculty. This is part of our mission to create a friendly, laid-back environment for advanced- beginning dancers. Classes are announced on a weekly basis and a new style is taught by one of our student dancers each week. OMSD wants to bring dance to the greater community of Oxford and share our love of this great art with as many people as possible.
