Auditions for OMSD productions are held once every academic year. Auditions are open to any student (undergraduate and graduate) currently enrolled in classes at the University of Mississippi. There is no charge to register for auditions.
The audition will consist of a group warm-up, across the floor, and two combinations. Since OMSD is based in Modern technique, auditions will mainly consist of modern/contemporary styles. However, dancers will have a chance to showcase their specific skills and technical abilities--there will be a hip hop, tap, and heels segment at the end for those who wish to participate. Please wear fitted clothing and secure your hair away from your face. Shoes are not required; however, you may bring paws, ballet shoes, jazz shoes, sneakers, and/or tap shoes. Or whatever you have! ALL ARE WELCOME.
Auditions for the Fall 2017 Concert will be August 29th, 2017 from 6:30-8:30. Please arrive early to properly register and stretch before auditions start.
